KIT Link opens presence in San Francisco

We proudly announce our Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in San Francisco in the German Hub, 101 Montgomery.
„San Francisco and Silicon Valley are home of leading technology and global hotspot of entrepreneurship and innovation, thats why we choose this location“, says Esther Legant, Head of KIT Link. With our SPOC we raise awareness of the importance of knowledge transfer for an innovative working environment and to foster our transatlantic network for innovative high-quality research with future potential.
KIT Link promotes collaboration and innovation through the exchange of knowledge, ideas and talents, therefore we believe this partnership will allow students, researchers, entrepreneurs and a community of interested people great access to an Innovation Ecosystem.
Our mission is to build a bridge between the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), one out of four Universities of Excellence in the German Southwest (Baden-Württemberg), and California. To achieve this we organize various events in the Bay Area.
„We are excited to welcome KIT Link to our German Hub office community, as one of ten other organizations aiming to provide a link between Germany and the US West Coast,“ says Sven Thorsten Potthoff, CEO of the Representative of German Business (GACC West). „We are happy to increasingly assist organizations tapping into the Silicon Valley ecosystem, which is accelerating opportunities on both sides of the Altantic –  the core mission of GACC West.“
For KIT Link cooperating with other important representatives of the German economy in the German Hub, will give us the chance to learn from each other, to grow together and to strengthen the transatlantic bond between Germany and the U.S..
The German Hub is operated by the GACC West, CEO Sven Thorsten Potthoff, colocated is the new DWIH, the sixth German Centre for Research and Innovation, lead by  Zahar Barth-Manzoori.
